A MESSAGE FROM TANGLED SENSES

Hey folks:

Jack, from Tangled Senses here. On Behalf of the band, I hope this message finds y’all doing well, and that you and yours are staying safe and healthy. For those who are sick, we wish you a quick recovery. We know everyone is struggling out there trying to make sense of how to deal with COVID-19, but we are optimistic that we’ll come out of this experience with some positivity and renewed strength. Hang in there!

Over the last year or so, the band has been working on our debut EP, “Drunk on Tuesday.” Today we’re happy to be releasing the next single “White Tower,” which is basically the title track from the EP. While we are all stuck in our homes, practicing social distancing, in order to save our country, we all could all use a distraction – something to entertain us during these dire times and keep our minds from thinking the worst. I know I speak for the band when I say, I hope this song will bring you a moment of distraction and a smile in the midst of this ordeal.

A few quick notes about White Tower: I wrote this song right after the last presidential election. Frankly it almost seems more timely and relevant today than it did when I wrote it some years ago. When this song was written, I was struggling – as I’m sure a lot of you were – with how we as a country and as people were going to make it through the next four years. I take solace in knowing a lot of you shared that sentiment. Today, I wonder how we are going to make it through the coming weeks and months.

The song is basically asking that question: What are we going to do when shit hits the fan... stand by, or do something about it? I think we all know what the answer has to be.

I hope that it gives all those out there who are scared, sick, or hurting a few minutes of enjoyment.

On behalf of the band, good luck out there and lots of love. Take care of yourselves! Keep on swimming.

“The hail came crashing, like meteors

What were we to do, when all was lost?

Will we stand in the wreckage, where the buildings fell?

And let the White Tower crumble

Let the storm wash it away”

Love always, and see y’all down the road…

Jack and Tangled Senses
